Learning through ICT can be useful and fun!

The final conference of the Bridging Insula Europae and EUCLIDES Projects, that took place in Malaga, Spain on September, 20th and 21st sent clearmessages to educational institutions, teachers, students and parents - learning through ICT can be both useful and fun!
Partners from 9 European countries, universities, schools, educational institutions and NGOs supported the concept that acquiring information froma multitude of sources within the web space can be an easy and pleasant endeavour, and the connection between classmates, teachers and colleagues -fast and constant. It was noted that the Internet and new possibilities of ICT use open up new horizons for the application of emotional intelligencein the educational process. Last but not least, it was mentioned that the careless and incautios use of the Internet and social networks contains a risk for young people. Here educational institutions have to assume responsibilities and accept the challenge that the Internet and new ICT pose for both students and teachers. They have to find a common road towards the new educational era and confirm Europe as an isle of knowledge,
connected tothe rest of the world by a multitude of bridges of common principles and values.
